Ichor is pleased to announce the appointment of Leeanne McAviney to the position of Assistant Auditor-General, Research and Development at the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG).
Leeanne was most recently Acting Director - Strategy at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). Leading a mid-sized team, this role had accountability for Service Design, Strategy Planning and Performance, Strategy Implementation and Change, and Projects. Leeanne's key objectives in this role included overseeing the development and coordination of the 2018 budget process, leading a refresh of strategic priorities and reviewing organisational governance arrangements.
Prior to joining MPI, Leeanne worked across a range of organisations in the public sector including the Ministry of Justice, Department of Internal Affairs and earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development.
During this period the roles she held included Press/Private Secretary, Chief Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer and Director - Strategic Performance. With a Master of Business Administration from the Victoria University of Wellington, Leeanne's role at the OAG will involve leading a team that undertakes research, develops new products and drives continuous improvement.
She commences her new role in October 2018.
